Blue Mountains Winter Weekend: National Pass Trail

Hands down one of the best trails I’ve ever walked. The variety of waterfalls you walk pass and under, the dramatic cliff faces with gorgeous textures and rich colours and the view of the valley as you hike up the steps makes this 3 hour walk worthwhile. Sure, some parts required more effort but I highly recommend starting at the Conservation Hut as this route has less strenuous uphill climbing

The reward for completing this walk? A good soak in the spa.

Megalong Valley

One of my absolute favourite places in the Blue Mountains is Megalong Valley. We discovered it over Easter when I was craving for some good wholesome scones baked fresh in mountain air, and Megalong Tearooms certainly surpassed our expectations. It’s often hard to believe that it’s only an hour and a half away from Sydney, but I guess what they say about the Blue Mountains being Sydney’s big backyard is true. It’s our little haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We are going back this weekend to explore other parts of the mountains and tick off Bucket List number 3, finally something to get things rolling 😉
