Let it snow

For someone who is not very tolerant of the cold, I’m amazed that I’ve experienced some of the harshest winters in places I’d never thought I’ll set foot on. And as much as I whinge about the cold and swear never to return in winter, nothing can replace the silent still moment of a snowfall and the powder soft feel of fresh snow. Never say never..

How’s this for a memory?

Cycling down the laneways of Gion, peeking into little teahouses and wishing we could enter in to escape the biting cold, but the desire to catch the elusive geishas kept us going until we found one. Oh! I’ll never forget the elation of seeing a real geisha up close.
